Frequent doubts

How do I introduce someone in Spanish?

Informal: Te presento a Ana or Esta es Ana. Formal: Le presento a la señora Gómez. The usual answer is Encantado, Encantada or Mucho gusto.

When do I say buenos días, buenas tardes and buenas noches?

In Spain, buenos días until lunchtime (around 2 pm), buenas tardes until it gets dark and buenas noches in the evening and at night, also to say goodbye.

Is “hasta luego” only for later today?

No. In Spain hasta luego is a very common goodbye even if you will not see the person soon. Hasta mañana and hasta pronto are more specific.
