Frequent doubts

What are the regular endings of the pretérito indefinido?

-ar verbs: -é, -aste, -ó, -amos, -asteis, -aron (hablé). -er and -ir verbs share the same endings: -í, -iste, -ió, -imos, -isteis, -ieron (comí, viví).

Why “leí” but “leyó”?

Leer has regular endings, but when the i falls between two vowels it becomes y: leyó, leyeron. Leí, leíste and leímos need a written accent.

When do I use the indefinido?

For actions finished in a finished time: ayer, anoche, el lunes pasado, en 2019. Ayer perdimos el autobús.

Can I retake the test?

Yes, as many times as you want, with no account and no email. We recommend reviewing the related materials and coming back a few days later.

The test doesn't load on my phone. What can I do?
