Frequent doubts

Do question words always have an accent?

Yes, in direct and indirect questions: ¿Cómo te llamas?, No sé dónde vive. Without the accent they are different words: porque (because), como (like).

What is the difference between “¿por qué?” and “porque”?

¿Por qué?, two words with an accent, asks for the reason; porque, one word, gives it: ¿Por qué estudias español? Porque trabajo en España.

How do I ask whose something is?

With ¿De quién? (or ¿De quiénes?): ¿De quién es el libro? Es mío.

Can I retake the test?
