Frequent doubts

Why “el problema” if it ends in -a?

Many words ending in -ma that come from Greek are masculine: el problema, el tema, el sistema, el idioma. El mapa and el día are masculine too.

Is calor masculine or feminine?

Masculine: el calor. In some rural areas you may hear la calor, but the standard form is el calor.

Why “a las once” with a feminine article?

Because we mean las horas: a la una, a las once. Clock times always take the feminine article.

Can I retake the test?

Yes, as many times as you want, with no account and no email. We recommend reviewing the related materials and coming back a few days later.

The test doesn't load on my phone. What can I do?
